There have been some generous donations to the campaign against Proposition 8 - which seeks to prohibit same-sex marriages in California.

Steven Spielberg and Brad Pitt are not averse to liberal causes, but their donations sent a something of a message as to where their feelings lay on this issue.

After organizers of the movement complained that Hollywood was doing precious little to help, TR Knight has stepped forward with a $50,000 gift towards the campaign.
